Immediate need for an experienced desktop support engineer for an initial 2 month contract

Your new company

This large well-known organisation is looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to assist both in their Perth Office, as well as some of their remote sites. This contract will initially be for 2 Months, with a possibility of extension.

Your new role

In this position, you will be responsible for providing second level IT Support to roughly 1200 users. You will be working closely with 3rd Level Infrastructure and Applications teams to investigate problems, major incidents and help with projects. In this position, you will sometimes be flown to site (2-3 days max at a time). You must be willing to work nights and weekends if required.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this position, you will require the following skills –

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Service Desk or IT support role
  • Strong Networking skills – SOHO Network support
  • Excellent Oral & written English
  • Customer Service focus
  • Procedural focus and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of local and wide area networks, including VPN
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite 2016
  • Knowledge of Windows Server & Windows desktop environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and fit well within a team
